The “first access” arrives on Monday – it could be a release, a pre-order or something else
The excitement surrounding Fossil’s already leaked Gen 6 watch line may have subsided a bit now that we know it won’t be getting Wear OS 3 until the middle of next year, but we’ve got a new fact. to share that might bring some hype into the equation. You might not have to wait long for it to land.
According to reports, Fossil is sending emails to some customers saying they will get “first access,” with a countdown that would indicate the new generation 6 is coming to some extent on August 30, next Monday. It’s not clear if this is a teaser for a pre-order, general availability, or some sort of limited supply for a handful of people, but Something is happening on Monday.

Specifications have already been leaked, so we know the new Gen 6 watches will have a Snapdragon wear 4100 chip, a 1.28 “OLED display with 416×416 resolution (although this may vary), 8GB of storage, GPS and a SpO2 sensor, faster in fossil charge even downright confirmed that the new watches would not ship with WearOS 3, but are expected to be upgraded to the new Wear OS 3 sometime in 2022.
