Hi. It’s October. Did you take a nap until September as the Green Day song suggests? Well, welcome to reality. Football is back; autumn is here; Daniel Craig shocked James Bond purists with his pink suit. Now that you’re back, scroll through our favorite style and check out this week’s releases. We have a beautiful blue watch from Bovet, a piece of fleece art from Nigel Cabourn, and much more.
Louis Erard x Atelier Oï The Regulator watch
Louis Erard is going a bit under the radar but is definitely a brand to watch. Their latest collaboration is another example of why: by teaming up with a Swiss design firm, they produced a cool version of the regulator watch that is visually striking and unique, but whose readability is skillfully retained: 12 of the lines of the dial are outlined to function as indexes where they meet the edge of the dial.
Price: ~ $ 3,744
HAVEN x Dr Martens 1461
“Hey look, Haven is working with Dr. Martens again. Cool,” me a few days when I found out that the Canadian retailer was releasing their own take on the popular 1461 style. This version of the Oxford shoe features calfskin black on black from CF Stead, commando sole and hexagonal metal eyelets.
Price: $ 360 (release October 2)
Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium Auto Far Cry 6 Watch
A new version of Hamilton’s 42mm Khaki Field Titanium makes its appearance in the game Far cry 6. He will have a functional role in the game, and fans will also be able to get the exact same model in real life. It helps that this is one of the coolest versions of the classic field watch to date. Available from October 7.
Price: $ 1,195
Buck Mason’s Surplus Dry Waxed Canvas N1 Deck Jacket
This has a simpler silhouette than most waxed jackets. I’m not saying the Barbour classics are necessarily complex, but this version of Buck Mason is inspired by the classic Deck Jacket, a sort of short, straight coat that sailors used to wear.
Price: $ 265
Panerai Submersible S Brabus “Shadow Black Ops” Watch
Based on the Shadow Black Ops line of boats from German engineering company Brabus, Panerai created a high-end version of its submersible diving watch. It features the brand’s first skeletonized automatic movement (other skeletonized movements only featured manual winding) and a nasty look with an all-black “Carbotech” carbon fiber case.
Price: $ 46,200
John Elliott Fleece Parka
A hooded John Elliott fleece jacket? Hell yeah. But don’t wash it – for two reasons: it removes microplastics and the brand says dry clean only.
Price: $ 898
Bovet Dimier Récital 27 Turquoise Watch
Bovet watches are rampant in complexity and extravagance. The Récital collection represents them perfectly, and a new version with turquoise guilloché is a bit mind-boggling, incorporating three time zones and endless details.
Price: ~ $ 80,300
Suicoke Pepper Paddled Slip-On
Part of the brand’s FW21 collection, the Pepper Paddled Slip-On sneaker from Suicoke offers the durability and design of something well-equipped for wet and wild terrain and the comfort of a slipper. I can’t beat this combo.
Price: $ 258
Chopard Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF Watch
Chopard’s competitor in the luxury sports watch category (to the the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus) is the Alpine Eagle. A new limited edition is now available in titanium and includes an internal movement that operates at an impressive 8 Hz frequency, which is double the frequency of most modern movements and easily exceeding most movements called “high frequency”.
Price: $ 19,000
Clarks has just released a brand new sneaker named after its first factory, located in the same town where James and Cyrus Clark made the first Clarks shoe. This new style has a runner-inspired shape and classic crepe sole.
Price: $ 220
Circula SuperSport Watch
Ready for a dive watch that doesn’t look like everyone’s dive watch? Try a “super compressor”. Most of these modern watches simply offer the super compressor style, but German watchmaker Circula’s SuperSport actually works the same way these watches were designed in the 1960s: the case-back seal is tightened by the water pressure when diving.
Price: $ 680
Yeezy Gap Hoodie
I wish I could go a week without wondering what Kanye West is doing. It’s easy to ignore it, but there is something about me – probably just a symptom of my generation – that makes me curious. In addition, each of his movements is a novelty. Like this hoodie, which is pretty and surprisingly affordable. It is part of the new Yeezy Gap collection.
Price: $ 90
Seiko Watches 5 Sports x Bait
The latest limited-edition Seiko 5 Sports collaboration watches feature interpretations from California retailer Bait. The standout model is an all-black theme with graphic elements referencing the 1950s-60s Japanese comic book Astro Boy. They will be available from November 2021.
Price: $ 460
Warby Parker x The Paris Review Roland
I’ve seen a lot of collaborations between publications and brands: the New York Times concept store with Knickerbocker; our own collaboration with Taylor Stitch; Monocle’s clothing line with A Kind of Guise. They’re all incredibly cool, and Warby Parker x The Paris Review is no exception. A bit pretentious? May be. But i wear glasses and I read La Revue de Paris. It’s right in my alley, I guess.
Price: $ 95
Ulysse Nardin Diver Chronograph Large White Watch
Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has said his new “brand ambassador” is a 12-foot male great white shark named Ulysses. There is of course also a watch for him: a titanium version of the brand’s Diver Chronograph with a light gray dial matched with a white bezel and rubber strap, which is part of its ongoing mission to showcase conservation. oceans and protect sharks,
